Sophie shoot

So Andy and I dressed Sophia up to take her picture here at home, and she was NOT happy about it. We did end up with a few of her with dry eyes :) and want your help picking which one we should get printed for our house! Please leave a comment letting us know which one you think is the best for hanging on the wall!

As you can see, we had some difficulty with the background. Andy and I had to try and hold the blanket up in the background, take the picture, keep Sophia sitting in some, and try to keep her happy and looking at the camera. We could have used about 4 more hands... still, what a doll! Please vote!

Giving the ole blog a face lift

Well, back in September I had written a post. My mom emailed me after reading it to let me know that my "cloud picture" was seriously gloomy and I should consider changing it. I thanked her for her advice, told her how much I love that cloud picture that I took myself while in Costa Rica, and promised that after we had Sophie and I wasn't pregnant (or still looking pregnant) I would put up a picture of the four of us (yes, Berkley, you are still a part of the family.) So today I attemped just that, got distracted and redid the whole thing!

Problem 1: we don't have any good pictures of the three of us, much less the four of us. So I threw one of just Sophia and I up until we can take one at least with Andy in it, if not Berk dog too.

Problem 2: how in the world do I make the picture smaller?? If you know, please help me! (Yes, I clicked "shrink to fit") Help!

Please note: this is not even the full picture. Obviously when taking the picture, Andy did include my whole head.

Thanksgiving

I know Christmas is this week and I'm just now posting about Thanksgiving, but time just seems to fly by! And our little Sophie is growing up too fast! We went to Georgetown for Thanksgiving to be with my family. It was our first time to travel with Sophia and it is different! It no longer takes 2 1/2 hours to get to Georgetown from Fort Worth- it took 5, but without traffic, probably would have taken 4. We learned a few things on our first trip:

1. Sophie does not like eating in the car.
2. Mommy doesn't like trying to nurse in the car with creepy smoking guy staring.
3. The McDonalds in Waco is a very scary place.
4. Bringing the vibrating infant seat and bath tub is a necessity.
5. Never, ever, forget your breast pump.

The only thing we should have brought that we didn't was the Baby Bjorn. Other than that, I must say I packed us pretty well. My mom also stocked up on a bunch of stuff so we wouldn't have to bring it, which was a big help. Sophia got passed around to all the women and a few very brave men, but mostly just Uncle Dustin- her favorite uncle in the whole wide world. :) Here's a slew of pictures:

Lord, we give you the thanks for all you have done this year! We have so much to be thankful for- it has been a year of blessing after blessing. We want to use all you have given us for your Kingdom, your Glory, your purposes here on earth. Thank you!
